Binding Options
Saddle Stitched (Stapled)
Saddle stitching is one of the most popular and cost effective methods of binding. It is used for documents, booklets, catalogues, and newsletters with small page counts. Minimum 8 pages to maximum 120 pages. Saddle stitching requires page numbering to be in a multiple of 4.
Perfect Binding
Perfect binding uses glue on your inner pages to bind them together and is completed with a wrap-around cover. It is used for soft cover books and magazines that are a minimum of 3mm thick (approx. 32 pages/16 sheets on 150gsm).
Wire Binding
Wire binding uses metal wires that are threaded through the holes of a document and then squeezed closed, keeping the document pages in place. Wire binding is great for recipe books, workbooks, diaries and commercial documents. The maximum we can wire bind is 200 pages (100 sheets).
Hard Cover (Case)
Hard cover binding is used on books with higher page counts to ensure they're sturdy. The cover is a non-flexible and is supported by a backboard. These are a good option for photo books or coffee table books. Hard cover books require a minimum of 32 pages (16 sheets).
Side Stapling
Side stapling is the process of placing 2-3 staples down the left edge of the front cover. It is a quick and easy way of binding documents that don't require saddle stitching. Side stapling is best used for smaller documents.
Calendar Hangers
Additional to wire binding, we also offer calendar hangers which include a thumb cut and wire hanger. These are great for calendars and flip charts.
